Post 1: Getting a Taste

Do you know what is happening in the world as a result of lack of clean water? Before we launch a full-fledged blog, let us fill you in on some daunting facts. We want our readers to be up-to-date and informed. We wouldn't want to get ahead of ourselves!

8.2 million people are afflicted by waterborne illnesses every day. A child dies every 30 seconds from waterborne illness. 50% of all hospital admissions are caused by waterborne illness. There are up to 5 million deaths annually. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. The threat of water shortage is no longer just associated with developing and Third World nations. This is a global water crisis. It's real. The end of this natural resource is imminent. The time is now...

This is where we come in.. It's all we think about. This is what we dream about, work for every day, and what our lives are dedicated to solve. We've got it (the solution that is), we know it, and we need your support.

Project Eviive is a nonprofit organization that will partner with individuals and corporations to sponsor solar-powered water purification systems made by Epiphany Solar Water Systems (SWS) for communities in the developing world. Our solution is simple, affordable, and sustainable...we just need to get the word out.

Here is how it works...Project Eviive will install Epiphany SWS' water purification systems on college campuses to demonstrate sustainable water purification. The water produced by these systems will be sold to students at a nominal cost, and all proceeds from the campus partnerships will be used to provide systems for the developing world. Patrons who sponsor one of these partnerships will plant a seed by enabling the installing of additional community systems around the globe, thereby initiating a viral effect. Simple as that...sustainable fundraising, sustainable systems.

Our initiative began and remains focused on providing water to those in need. We define ourselves by this goal. It's who we are and what we will accomplish. We just aren't the kind of people that take no for an answer. It comes from upbringing. Just so happens, by solving that, we subsequently solve the anticipated water shortage from which developed nations will also suffer. It is right around the corner. Believe it. Read about it. Unless we do something now, we'll all be counting our gallon usage in the not-so-far-off future.

Welcome to the Epiphany Solar Water Systems blog.

Join us as we are about to change the world. Help us save lives, one gallon at a time...
