Post 3: London's Science Museum

Good things are happening... Epiphany is being featured at the London Science Museum’s “Water Wars: Fight the Food Crisis” exhibit (September 20, 2011 through March 20, 2012). According to the London Science Museum’s website, more than 2.7 million visitors visit the museum each year. 380,000 of those attending are associated with a variety of school organizations, more than any comparable museum or science centre; 1.3 million visitors are families; 60,000 young scientists via educational outreach. The museum’s award-winning website has received over 12 million hits per year, allows for comments and polls from the public, and promotes interviews with a variety of experts sharing their views about the latest happenings in the world of science. Antenna is a program through the London Science Museum which is “a fully integrated gallery and website that explores the latest news in science, technology, medicine, the environment and innovation.” Water Wars, Antenna’s current exhibit, showcases new technology on how to prevent a potential food crisis in the future and help solve the water shortages across the globe. In addition to Epiphany’s solar-powered water purification systems include new technology inspired by a desert beetle and bird droppings. This is a great opportunity to get the word out about what we can do about the global water crisis. Stay tuned…
